Privacy policy — how StoreKitly handles your data

Who this policy applies to

This policy covers storekitly.com, including the free calculators, the blog, and the CouponRescue email list. It also covers email you send to [email protected].

It does not cover Shopify, the Shopify App Store, or other sites you reach through links here; they have their own privacy policies. “We”, “us”, and “our” mean the operator of StoreKitly. See our terms of use for the site rules.

What we collect

We collect as little as we can, and only for a clear reason.

CouponRescue list: When you join the CouponRescue email list, we receive your email address and the date you joined.
Analytics: When you open any page on the site, we receive page views, approximate location, device and browser details, the referring site, and interactions such as clicks.
Server logs: On every request to the site, our host receives the IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and the time of the request.
Email: When you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.

The CouponRescue list. When you join the CouponRescue email list, we store your email address and the date you joined so we can send you CouponRescue updates. We do not add you to a general article newsletter. The CouponRescue page has more about the product. Email [email protected] to have your entry deleted.

The free tools. The calculators on the tools page run entirely in your browser. What you enter stays there and is not sent to us.

What we do not collect. This site has no accounts, no payments, and no way to connect a Shopify store. We do not receive order, customer, or store data.

How we use it

To send you CouponRescue updates if you joined the email list.
To reply to messages you send us.
To understand how the site is used overall, so we can improve it.
To keep the site secure and reliable, including by investigating errors or unusual traffic.
To meet legal obligations that apply to us.

We do not advertise to list members, sell personal information, or build advertising profiles.

Legal bases

Data protection law in some places asks for a legal basis for each use of personal information. Where that applies, we rely on:

Consent — when you join the CouponRescue email list, and for any optional cookies where we ask for your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure, understanding how it is used where local law allows it, replying to people who contact us, and keeping ordinary business records. We weigh those interests against your rights.
Steps you ask us to take — handling a request that needs your details, such as joining the email list.
Legal obligation — when we must keep or share information to comply with the law.

Which basis applies depends on the use and on where you live.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-14EW2QC759) on every page. It may set first-party cookies — typically _ga and one or more _ga_* cookies. It also collects page views, approximate location, device and browser details, the referring site, and interactions such as clicks.

We use it to see which pages and tools are useful, not to show ads. The site sets no advertising, remarketing, or social media cookies.

Google Analytics does not receive your list email or anything you type into a calculator.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The calculators and email list still work if you do.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the providers that run the site, and only what they need:

Cloudflare — serves the site and handles security and reliability, including server logs.
Google Analytics — measures how the site is used.
Vercel — hosts the signup API that receives submissions.
A managed database provider — stores list entries.
Google (Gmail) — processes email sent to [email protected] and our replies.

They process data under their own terms and our settings. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the site.

International transfers

Our providers operate in several countries, so information may be processed outside the country where you live. If you need more detail about where a particular type of data is processed, email us.

Retention

CouponRescue list entries are kept while you are on the list, and for up to 12 months after you leave, or until you ask us to delete them sooner.
Analytics data follows our Google Analytics property settings.
Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then discarded.
Email is kept as long as needed to reply and keep ordinary business records.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
have information corrected if it is wrong or incomplete;
ask us to delete information;
object to some uses, or ask us to limit them;
withdraw consent at any time, without affecting uses that already happened;
complain to a data protection authority in your country.

To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. Say what you want and which email address or message it concerns. We may ask for enough information to confirm the request is yours before we act. You can leave the email list the same way.

Children

The site, tools, and CouponRescue are made for businesses, not children. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

We update this policy when the site, the email list, or the services behind them change, and we change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will say so here and email list members.
